Fun, Busy Summer!

So far this summer has been filled with lots of fun things! It seems like I am just now getting a break from packing and unpacking. Here are some of the pictures from some of the fun things we have been doing starting with the most recent.

Sea Life Aquarium

We went this week to a new aquarium by our house. Bryton loved it! They had a few different types of animals that I had never seen before. I took some pictures but they are not great because we couldn't use flash.

This is the Zebra shark. I thought that was interesting because it is spotted. The guy working there told us that they are born with stripes like a Zebra but when they get bigger the stripes stretch to make spots.

This is hard to see but it is a Guitar Fish. It is a mix between a sting rays body and a shark. It is considered a shark though.

Bryton thought this was funny because it made him look like he was in the tank.

Rainforest Cafe & Girls Week

Last week my best friend Kandis and her little boy Nixon came to visit. First we spent a week at a resort a little over an hour from our house with the girls (and the little boys). It was my mom, sister, me with my kids and Kandis with Nixon. My friend Callie and her little girl Eden joined us a couple of the days too. It was hot but we had a lot of fun. When we got back home we went to Rainforest Cafe one night for dinner. It was too long of a wait and horrible service and Bryton was the only one who enjoyed it. Oh well, at least the food was good!

While @ the resort our goal was to get a cute picture of Nixon & Callie. I'm not sure if we succeeded with getting smiles but we got a few cute ones.

One day we went to the outlets by the resort and shopped until we dropped! Before we left though we let the kids play @ the splash pad. They were sooo excited to be able to run around in the water (or in Callie's case "crawl")!

Another night Tono met up with us and we went to a "Cowboy Cookout." It was WAY too hot but lots of fun! There was a magician, archery, shooting, and a few other activities. Then we had dinner inside!

After everyone else went inside, we stayed out with the kids for a bit and the magician did some little kid tricks. The babies were very amused as you can tell here!

Callie was not enjoying the loud shots and miserable heat. She was so sweaty by the time we went inside. Once the guns stopped firing she was a bit better.

One day @ the resort they had pony rides. It was early in the morning and still way too hot so we did not stay out long. Bryton did get to ride a pony though.

4th of July Weekend

We went to my parents for a barbeque the Monday after the 4th. My parents got a little pool to put on the patio for the kids. Callie was terrified of it at first for some reason but eventually warmed up to it and loved it.

Newport Beach

We got to go to Newport twice this summer. This time was with my family. It was cloudy the whole week but the last day we were there. We still managed to find plenty to do including going to Disneyland one day. The first part of the week I had a dead camera battery so I didn't get many pictures. Here are a few from the last day when we had perfect weather!

We could not get them to smile at the camera at the same time. I thought this was good because they at least have the same expression!
